Realm Engine ("we", "us", or "our") is a world-building tool for tabletop game masters, part of the DM's Toolkit ecosystem. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Realm Engine, how we use it, and your choices.
We collect information you provide directly or that is passed to us through third-party sign-in:
You may sign in using Google or Patreon. When you do, the respective provider shares your name, email address, and profile photo with us. We use this only to create or match your account.
Your data is stored in a secured database. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plaintext. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest where possible and are never exposed to the client.
While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. Do not store sensitive real-world information inside your world-building content.
We use a single session cookie (PHPSESSID) to maintain your login state. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required as we use only strictly necessary cookies.
Your account and world data are retained for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at privacy@realmengine.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Realm Engine is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of Realm Engine after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
